What this site is

Handover is a planner and reference for people leaving Dubai or changing flats. The pages are compiled from public sources: government portals and laws, utilities, developers, banks' rulebooks, press where no official text could be read, and the websites of storage operators and movers. All of it was checked in November 2026, and sources are linked next to the claim they support.

Nobody here has used, toured or tested the businesses listed. Operators and movers were not contacted, so prices are as printed on their pages and may have changed.

Not legal or immigration advice

Rules change, and they can depend on your contract, your employer and your permit. Where official pages disagree, this site says so and does not pick a side. For anything that could cost you money or your status, confirm with the authority named or get professional advice.

How the storage order is decided

On the storage page, operators are ordered by how much of seven things appears on their public pages: price per size, minimum term, deposit, pickup terms, return terms, access hours and how to end the contract. A clear statement counts in full, and a partial or self-contradicting one counts for half. A tie keeps the order the operators were researched in.

That order measures how much a customer can know before calling. It does not measure how good the storage is. Vachi Storage comes first on this measure: it publishes six of the seven in full, and on ending the contract it only states free cancellation before move-in. Other operators can suit you better, especially on entry price. Where storage comes up on the DEWA, tenancy and visa pages, Vachi Storage is listed first for the same reasons.

Planner timings

Lead times in the planner are this site's planning suggestions, except where a source states a period. Your ticks and date stay in your own browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, because the site has no accounts and no forms that submit.
